Leaving the PKMNation Mod Team
Hi everyone! My name is Kanarinchu, but many of you know me as Kana. I'm one of the former PKMNation Officers who left the team recently, and the only one who had yet to make a journal. To be completely honest I wasn't going to post one because I truly believed my fellow former Officers summed up what happened well. It was only after things began to spiral that I realized why it was important I speak and just state my side. I will preface saying I will not be attacking the character of the current moderators, as it is and still is my belief there is no ill intent and that their reasoning for the rule is justified in their minds. However I disagreed and it is why I parted ways. As I post this it is 8/29/2020, about to hit midnight. The first instance of conversation that I engaged in regarding the Rarity Honedge design was on 8/14/2020. You can reference the other Officers and Lunarmorte's journals for more information on the key issue itself, but it was of my opinion that the design

i didn't think I would be writing about this on my arpg account of all things but I want to make it very clear to everyone following me: regardless of your intention, don't EVER use the rising sun flag as a symbol for your japanese-centric design. Do your research on it's history of bloodshed and war criminology. It's not a cute symbol for you to use for your "japan aesthetic". Not only are you spreading a symbol that is harmful to people who have been affected by Japanese imperialism during WWII but you're also representing Japanese culture in the worst way possible. I'm half Japanese. I have lots of family in Japan and was born and raised there. I am not someone who is harmed by the affects of Japanese imperialism BUT I sure as hell don't want anybody who is affected by it to see it go excused. Not to mention it's a shitty way to represent my country. In fact don't use any symbol with a history of hate and racism (i.e. swastika, blackface, confederate flag.) for your design. I

I left the PKMNation Mod Team
To whom it may concern, I have chosen to leave the PKMNation Moderator team (along with four others) due to a conflict of morals with the current Champions. This all started when a member of the group brought to the attention of the mod team that one of the groups rarity designs (designs which are created by the mod team and considered official within the group) depicts a variation of the Red Rising Sun symbol, a symbol which is associated with the Imperial Japanese Army and the atrocities it committed before and during WW2. If you are unfamiliar with it, I highly suggest reading up on the Red Rising Sun Flag, and perhaps even the Imperial Japanese Army if you can stomach it. In response to this, the champions established a new rule which allows the usage of such symbols in designs based on the intent behind the design; thus allowing the rising sun symbolism to remain in the rarity design. We (myself and the four others who left) disagreed with this ruling, feeling that the

I highly recommend reading the others' posts on why they left. Their sides are just as important as mine and explained why we all collectively left together. My experiences are essentially the same as theirs, I'm just tired. I don't want to think about this anymore for the sake of my health. Not to say I'm putting this behind me, because there's no way I could forget how I, among the others, have all felt with how they were treated in one night. I say they because I was not an active part of the conversation, I don't trust myself to make words and my connection was shitty that night, but I heavily supported the others. It was a moral issue paired with the behavior the Champions displayed. When the Rarity Honedge was brought to light for displaying the Rising Sun banner by a fellow member of the community, there was a lengthy discussion that ultimately leads itself into the recent new rule about symbols as well as the final stamp of not changing the design. I initially didn't care,

Why I left the PKMNation Mod Team
Hi. This is going to be an incredibly formal post from me, which I know is unusual, but is necessary in a situation like this. Other people were involved in this situation, and for the sake of it all, I will not be mentioning any names, though most of those mentioned in here can be easily guessed. Some of them have planned and intend on writing posts of their own, but for those who don't want to be thrust in the spotlight, everything will be kept anonymous. As is obvious, me and four others have all resigned from our position as Officer. It happened suddenly, all at once, just a couple days ago, but it was still not a decision made on a whim. The issue that caused us all to resign was not a personal feud, nor because of a bias against something or someone we held. It was an issue that completely contradicted our morals, and we were unwilling to be affiliated with a team that allowed such things. A couple of weeks ago, a member brought to the Team's attention that there
